Here's an interesting article on Tony Franklin from Phillip Marshall. He talks about Kentucky and getting back into coaching.

Whatever Franklin will do is going to be SHUT DOWN by the Tigers. It just doesn't matter.

The only reason that people tend to think that Auburn is piling on is because it has happened after the explosion of messageboards like this one, so there are more forums and avenues for the discussion.

So there is more piling on. I've always heard this from the Aubs. The, "we're just giving back what we received all those years" take.

You just discounted that by saying, "there are more forums and avenues for the discussion". How exactly were we piling on in 1978?

Tubby better let Franklin do what he wants or else.....

This is also the reason he was on the clinic circuit for so long.

AUCatfish--make CERTAIN you keep Chaz healthy so that if your opponent has DTackle that is creating a problem, Chaz can take out their knees. Have to stick the Tubbies game plan now

Actually, the Auburn Offensive Line is learning how to remove the still beating heart out of a D lineman when necessary. Rudy Ray Moore is our new strength/heart snatching coach.

All I was saying was that Bama fans talked just as much shite in the 70s and early 80s as Auburn fans do now. Hell, Bama fans are still suffering from diarrea of the mouth these days, but it is all about what happened in the past or what will happen.

The reason that no one outside of Auburn fans or outside of Alabama knows how much the Bama fans ran their mouth back then was because there weren't Internet boards like this one where it was open for consumption by everyone in the world.

Amen. I grew up in the 70's as an Auburn kid, it sucked.

That's my argument. I don't think y'all caught it as bad back in the 70's because we weren't surfing the information highway.

I'm sure it was bad though. I hate I'll never get to experience it.
