Well. People think Briles could win at LSU. Briles and Leach are pretty much the same guy when it comes to Football strategy.

SEC is a different animal on defense and once the SEC started putting all the athletes on defense it has slowed the spread tremendously since Mumme was at UK.

He was the Kentucky OC under Hal Mumme in the late 90s. So he would have an idea of what's possible there.

Then why does the best defense in the SEC (Bama) regularly give up 30-40 points to spread offenses with talent?

I would like to see what Mike Leach could do at a school with a lot of skill players already there. Would love to see a Leach coached offense with a very good DC under him.

yes, he could and would win there. he coached there before in the late 90's with tim couch as his QB.
