This may been discussed, if so please just point me there.
Does Saban still have the "win the NC and be the highest paid NCAA coach" clause? If so and UM hires JH before new years will Saban jump over $8M immediately?
Also, do these contracts normally have a ceiling? Miles is highest in SEC for winging. If Saban wins this year and (for argument) LSU wins 2015, does Miles automatically go over $8M?

I don't think Saban has such a clause, but I may be wrong.
Miles has it and yes he would get $1 more than whoever the highest paid coach is on the day he wins the NC. But if 2 weeks after he wins the NC someone gets bumped back over him then Miles does not get another bump back to #1 automatically.

I thought miles was only SEC coach related, is it not?
But what happens if a coach is hired in 2014 after the season. Does his salary get put in the mix?

I think if Miles wins the SEC he gets bumped to at least 3rd in the conference of he isn't there already. But yeah he still has that NC clause.

Nope, it's just a 1 time thing that happens automatically when the title is won.
