Goodnight sweet prince

I know a certain young 5* QB recruiting, bubble screen calling OC/QB coach who would be a great fit in San Marcos

It would be hilarious if him getting forced out is what finally got Spav out

Really though they should go after Meacham at TCU. Not sure if he would wait for a bigger job though

I really wouldn't be angry if it was spav. He can at least recruit. Frans recruiting this year has been warm bodies in the juco ranks. Would love meacham, but doubt we can afford him. We have the worst athletic director in the country, so he'll frick this up. He needs to be fired as well. Don't know who a real possibility is at HC. Maybe applewhite.

What an arse waiting this long to "retire" at Texas State. Nice job of putting them behind the eight-ball finding a coach at the 11th hour.

He could make quite a bit more as A&Ms OC if State sticks to the same amount Fran was getting. They were only paying the dude a base of $425k.

In fact, Spav is making more at $480k so if they were to "steal" him they'd have to pony up a bit more than they are used to.

I think they'll use this to up their commitment to the football program, JMO.

Applewhite is probably a real possibility

I don't think Bama fans have ever properly thanked A&M for taking that nasally mfer off our hands.

It led to Price, which led to Shula, which led to Saban. We had 4 years of suffering after Fran left, but it worked out aight.

We'll absolutely have to up the money into the coaches to reinvigorate the fan base. Recently renovated stadium that Fran and the AD have turned into a ghost town. For all the good the president has done for the University on the academic side, Teis has done the opposite for the athletics side.

I think so too. I appreciate his help in moving up to FBS, but I didn't want his stay being that long. The team was pretty decent last year and feel like we got snubbed for a bowl game by a team we beat. But he definitely needed to leave after this season.

His FBS career was all smoke and mirrors.

He had one good year out of six at New Mexico and left. He then had a couple of decent years and one really good year at TCU off the back of an all time great RB he didnt recruit and left. He had one good year at Bama with players he didnt recruit and left. See the pattern?
