So, is Ed going to be the head coach at Syracuse? That would be a big hit with the progress our D line made this year and not to mention the recruiting factor. Is this a fore gone conclusion that he is gone? Who is a good replacement if he does go?

Orgeron will probably need a raise and an extension to keep him at LSU and he probably deserves it anyway.
He gets 450k now with 1 yr remaining.
Syracuse was paying $1.4M to their HC.
But he wouldn't have to uproot his family who lives in Covington/Mandeville I believe. He might go solo anyways. I think he did that at USC.

He will leave for any HC position but that $1.4 M is cheap by today's standards. Here's hoping "Cuse's AD keeps things as quiet as Alleva did so we'll know soon enough perhaps.

I think he gets promoted to dc soon and that keeps him happy for a couple of years

the one and only upside to keeping Miles is that we get to keep O and Frank, so naturally i expect them to both leave. Forever LSU.

Why not shite can Steele and promote O to DC and hire a LB coach? Think this would solve several defense related problems.

Jenar that sounds like a solid plan.
