I think he'd be a good hire. Although unproven on a green natural grass field! Maybe we could put new field down for him.

Well Urban Meyer sure was. He's billed as the next UM. If we don't close one of the big guys, he's got to be near the top of the next in line list.

i really like this guy. he seems like a great coach and i liked how intense he was on the sidelines during the bowl game with OU last year.

Wasn't last year his first year at Boise?

He didn't do too well this year at boise. Losing 2 games in the WAC is NOT impressive. Boise usually ran the table against the WAC and lost to a bigger team like UGA under Hawkins.

One game does not a coach make.

Is Boise finished until their bowl game?

I don't beleive it falls past Sexton's guys!

But, if the planets aligned and somehow WV could loose to PITT, RR is my top guy!

Now, that ain't going to happen.

in two years he's lost a total of two games while beating several bcs conference schools along the way. the two losses coming at hawaii and at washington, not bad at all for boise state. i don't think he'd be a bad hire. i'd almost prefer a young, hungry coach to an aging possibly on the decline spurrier

I'd most definitely prefer him to Spurrier. Spurrier coming here worries me that he'll win SEC/MNC within 2-3 years and then quit leaving the cupboard bare for our successor.

I'll gladly trade an MNC for a couple of rebuilding years.

Peterson is the best hire we could make. Period. He is organized, has a good offensive mind and obviously knows how to win the big games. I trust that he would hire a good DC and we would be in excellent shape.

Petersen with Tenuta would make me very pleased. However, how good is he at recruiting? I don't believe that's been tested yet for him.

Or getting Coach O to help lure some recruits would help.

I wouldn't mind seeing Petersen at HC and us taking a chance on the "O" at DC.

My first choice is Del Rio, however improbable that may be.

He's been at Boise State several years (as OC and head coach). Obviously, they have great offensive talent and he is part of the reason for that. Can you imagine how hard it is to get kids to come to Boise, Idaho, where hell freezes over, to play on a blue field?

I think Chris Peterson and Brian Kelly are much more likely than Spurrier, Del Rio, Tuberville, or Saban. People need to start getting real.

Peterson and Kelly would be really interesting choices in my mind.

The blue field might actually be a selling point to recruits.

I don't think we would have to worry about him leaving us for his alma mater UC Davis.
