Chris Peterson's resume speaks for itself, but beyond that there are some very unique traits that he has over the competition for a coach.
1) He is second to none when it comes to winning with a talent deficit
2) He has the proven track record and experience that Alleva wants.
3) He has wrote the book on how to make under talented QB's CFB Legends, just look at Kellen Moore.
4) His teams are second to none when it comes to playing well in big time games. The bigger the stage the better job he seems to do.
LSU is known to have a hard time recruiting top tier QB's, with Peterson LSU wouldn't have to worry about that problem, they may not make it to the NFL but they'll break CFB records.
If your LSU you get you cheer your butt off like hell that he loses tonight or at least 1 more game and doesn't make playoff and you fly to Washington with a blank check in hand and don't take no for an answer.

Washington is a destination job

May as well just forget this because it's not gonna happen.

Yeah he should be but he's not leaving UW for awhile if ever

Seriously look at the hundreds of topics on him already.

Peterson is not leaving the Northwest. Has stated before leaving Boise that he would only take something in that area of the country. Washington called dont see him leaving to go anywhere else.

this guy no doubt is a winner but this board has discussed in several threads why he wont leave U dub. He held out for many years to move from Boise until this job opened up. I dont think offering him 15 M per year would make it happen as he has shown money is not all that is important to him. LSU fans need to move on to someone who is more realistic, like NS

People said that Harbaugh wouldn't go to Michigan either ..money talks

he is a mich man. not even close to what the Udub coach is all about. one was in the NFL and the other is at his destination job. Do some research.

Harbaugh didn't go to Michigan because of the amount of money he was offered

Would like this but...
•He loves it there.
•About to be locked in $$ wise.
•Very little competition recruiting.
•Very little competition in conference.
•Seattle is home to a great facility for his son who has special needs.

Same has been said why Jimbo wont leave FSU because his son also has special needs and there is a faculty in talahasse.

quote:not to mention that Seattle is awesome and UW is insanely beautiful. if quality of life for you and your family is more important to you than a 20 percent raise, sorry, but UW > LSU.

It is my understanding he has a child who seeks treatment in Seattle and this is one of the reasons he took the UDub job.

Actually just this week in a Pac12 blog by ESPN's Ted Miller Peterson is described as a "never say never" guy who would listen to any offer anywhere.

Why not Belichick or Saban?
