Because he turned down a ton of top tier jobs while he was at Boise St until U-dub opened up. He must have wanted that job specifically.

I think he even turned down USC??

This thread will get whacked too because of the title. Also he ain't coming here. He isn't leaving Washington any time soon no matter who is offering.

Never say never as, the saying goes. A big paycheck at a powerhouse SEC program could get Petersen here. That said, I am not begging for Chris Petersen but he would be an big improvement over Les. I am sure LSU is looking for some big name coaches but maybe behind the scenes, LSU told CEO has a chance to make the HC a permanent title.

However I think CEO will be disappointed like he was at USC. He would leave after the heartbreak. He is a born and bred Louisiana boy and I hope he runs the table and gets some real consideration for the job. But at this point in time, LSU needs to headhunt the up and comers.

He is a west coast guy. He turned down USC for Washington. He has made them into a top 5 team this year. He is happy where he is and will go no where other than maybe the NFL

I remember when I was the lone sole clamoring for Petersen early in the week, and one of the only few outside of the media saying that Washington would win the Pac.

Petersen doesn't seem like the type that would leave like that though after reading up on why he finally did leave Boise St.
