Franklin was hired pre-bowl game last year.

KSU has fired and hired an entire coaching staff. As has UT. UW has hired a new coach. Last year Spurrier hired a new DC before the end of the bowl season (really, before it started).

Dinardo brought Lou Tepper in for our Indy bowl game against Notre Dame.

Okay. Clemson hired Dabo Swinney. Promoted him. I don't have time to google it but many hires have been made in the bowl season. Last year with Spurrier's Dec 19th hire, now famous on this board. AU hiring Franklin before the bowl last year. I really doubt the NCAA cares when coaches are hired and fired as long as you do not exceed the number.
