My buddy, who is truly connected at UT, told me that even after what administration has said recently regarding Strong coaching out the rest of 2016 might not happen now. He said that Strong has lost the confidence of the players and that practices have been anything but productive. He said don't be surprised if a move is made soon as the big money boosters are now raising a huge stink for Strong to be let go now rather than later so UT can officially put it's, as he put it "big flag," right in the middle of the coaching search.

We will see but he doesn't think Strong makes it to the end of the season where a week ago that wasn't the case.

You don't have to be a Texas Insider to come to that conclusion. I knew he was gone during the 4 quarter of the KState game and I have zero sauces at UT.

If Baylor skullfricks them this week in Austin, it could get really ugly.

How the hell does Texas have that bad of a defense?

Easy to say once someone "in the know" has confirmed your assumptions.

Makes no sense. Team isn't playing for anything and there is no obvious interim who you want to try out. Let him finish the season and keep recruiting. Biggest problem at Texas is no permanent ad. They have a lot to do to get their house in order.

That is exactly why my buddy feels it will happen. At this point everyone on campus "including Strong" my boy says knows Strong will not be back at UT next year. It is already being used against them in recruiting and the biggest factor is that the players are now not practicing with any fire at all. He said, not thinking it could get any worse from here, is the exact wrong thinking because it can. The feeling with the big money boosters is that, tie off the issue and try and make the best of a bad situation better. Instead of letting it fester for the rest of the year on the field and in the media.

This guy told me to expect a coaching change sooner rather than later.

their defense is a complete joke. there is no reason to be this bad in year 3 at texas. if baylor goes in dry he should be relieved of his duties.

It's a massive rebuilding job. Any coach going there is in danger of not surviving it IMO.

Only a coach with a proven record should consider it.

I think that is their issue. Why would a 4/5* commit to UT if their coach wasn't going to be their coach. I'm surprised Miles was able to pull such a successful class considering he was halfway out the door last year.

AD and Charlie met today. If they get demolished by Baylor he's done.

School undermines head coach at every turn and then blames him for losing the players

Also i think if texas wants someone to blame for having a shitty defense they should look to their spread obsessed high schools.
