With all the flack people gave LSU for firing Les when we did, at least we pulled off the band-aid.
A flood of reports are coming out of Austin that Charlie Strong is fired (at the end of the season).
I think the one thing that could keep Herman away from Tejas is the political stink that surrounds that program, and it seems like the TU boosters are doing their best to live up to that rep.

Those same boosters are going to open their check books and pay Herman a lot of money.

If UT loses to OU, there probably will be a push to get him out for the same reason LSU pushed Les out early. Texas fans/boosters have been all over Tom for a while, and that probably can't risk him saving himself and getting one more year. With LSU and possibly USC open, Texas has to make a move this year most likely.

The big thing I was glad to see about firing Les early is that we have a chance to keep a good recruiting class together. I think UT and Auburn are going to seriously think about that...

Well in Texas defense they are a shitty football team. He is in year 3 and things are only getting worse. Strong didn't even looked like he wanted to be on the sidelines Saturday. Their defense couldn't stop Sister Mary's school for the blind.
