I have been busy developing new products for my employer and working on my small ranch breeding Axis, Fallow, Black Buck and various Big Horn sheep. I haven't talked to LS lately. He was cut by the Jets before the season started. He is still working hard on making an NFL team one day.

Why would DC leave LSU?

D.C. Would leave if Oregon offers a position title upgrade and scheme input

DC would leave LSU for a Offensive Coordinator position in which he covets. Being that Matt Canada is the new OC, Craig may look elsewhere and Taggert has been after Craig now for the last 2 years to become his OC.

They both coached at Miami but at different times. They were both on the New Orleans Saints staff in 2008.

What ties does he have to LSU other than being from LA?

Apparently he and Coach O are fairly tight. They were on staff together with the Saints. I've heard more than one insider say he will be here if Craig leaves. I've also heard more than one insider say Craig is likely gone.

Long story short, prepare for CJ to be on staff.

there's a guy on a premium board who is friends with Orgeron and, imo, has been a complete fricking shill when it comes to recruits. he has been good on coaching info however.

today he said, "I think Craig is likely gone (to Oregon as OC)" and "I'd be shocked if it's not Curtis, he and coach are very tight"

personally, i hope it happens, i think Johnson would be a massive upgrade. the Saints WRs were always very good when he was there (2006 - 2011), and he just spent 3 years developing ties in NO as Tulane HC. he'd be better in every way.

Someone tell me what CJ brings to the table, why is bringing him in a boom? Not a slight, I just don't know much about him beyond being Tulane's HC.

Arguably the best wide receivers coach in the game next to Jerry Sullivan

Legendary recruiter (at least in New Orleans area)....pulled Marshall Faulk to San Diego st and ed reed and Reggie Wayne to Miami among others at Miami

One of the guys I was referencing. He's been pretty fair on recruiting info as well imo.

He was the best WR coach the Saints have ever had. Marques Colston was a 7th round pick and Lance Moore was basically off the street and they became household names. He was instrumental in making Devery Henderson a legitimate NFL WR, too.

He does a lot of work with hand strength and coordination - it was interesting to read some of the drills he had the WRs doing for hand/eye coordination.

well, agree to disagree, i guess. during the season he was saying all kinds of shite to pump up Orgeron and get people behind the idea of keeping him as HC (imo). the three big ones were essentially guaranteeing a Moses flip (even though, in reality, there's never been even the slightest hint to suggest he was wavering) and saying we'd get Akers and K'Lavon. thats 0-2 so far, likely 0-3.

he also said we were in great shape with Marvin but thats been the case for a long time now.

Yea, but O is his buddy. Of course he's gonna pump him up. He's been pretty good here recently, unless I'm remembering incorrectly.

He has the support of the best Louisiana football player of all time in Marshall Faulk. Saban doesn't even have that
