Defensive staff stays the same and only a few changes on the offensive side of the ball.

No to Briles in any capacity?

We could get away with BRiles as OC, but I doubt he'd do it, or that the HC would want it

Do you realize some legendary coaches were "bad" early in their careers?

Not like that.

He had absolutely no institutional control and he himself is a loose cannon. He's never been a coordinator, made bad hires at Ole Miss, and he was the absolute worst gameday coach I've ever seen.

He is a "rah rah" type guy that recruits his arse off and needs to focus on one tiny piece of the team, the DL.

We need an intelligent head coach with big time, successful experience building and/or maintaining a program. Ed O was given a system with coordinators at USC and went 6-2 with a bad loss. For some reason, people have convinced themselves here that he worked miracles in Los Angeles. Its simply not true.

First... it was Ole Miss then

Second... he has had some experience at USC

Third... Orgeron made it known before coming to LSU he wants to be a head coach again.

Fourth... Alleva and Orgeron have gotten pretty tight.

Fifth... LSU firing Miles after 4 games doesn't make a lot of sense. Every school that has a coach LSU may target has 3+ months to get a new contract or a contract extension in place

When Vegas odds come out on possible head coaches for LSU you can bet money Orgeron is going to be pretty high up on the list. You may not like it but the possibility is NOT remote.

Exactly he is perfect as a d line coach / recruiting coord. Nothing more. Maybe a DC down the line if aranda were to leave

and looking at the games he was HC in, he really didn't bearanyone worth a damn besides Stanford. The next best team had an 8-5 record.

Coach O is the cheapest alternative but he needs to go undefeated for the rest of season to be considered.
