It is stunning to me that these schools aren't picking Brady hoke to be on defensive staff. That's lazy research and scouting by these programs, in my opinion

It's not coming from the beat writer but from our leak. Apparently there is a mystery candidate involved. Hoke, Nolan, your DC, Sirmon (as LB coach), Clancy Pendergast are the only candidates that we know the AD reached out too.
Insiders are saying there have been no real talks from Oregon's side to Wilcox.
Also, some believe Wilcox is headed to Tampa Bay to be on Koetter's staff.

His defense looked lost at times at USC, so no. I am not really sure how much is on him since USC was always hampered during his tenure. I mean their leading tackler this year was a true frosh until he got injured. Before the Oregon game they lost two ILBs.

Sometimes it's the candidate drumming up interest. From Oregon's side, less press means less competition.

I'm pretty shocked that Oregon went with a guy who has never been a DC at the college level considering how poorly that just worked out for them.

He has HC experience at SDSU and Ball St. turning them around and called the defense. Pellum only coached ILBs.
