I agree. If the group that is making the decision on LSU's future is basing it on the outcome for the remainder of the season, then I for one want different leaders. They could have named Ensminger with this talent and won games with this team.

Agreed.

If O is hired it would mean a lot of other people said no.

Nah.

First off: To believe this is basically calling Alleva a liar. That's fine if that's what you believe.

Secondly: If we won out, he would have beaten probably 7 straight ranked teams (including what some people say is one of the best Bama teams Saban has had and the undisputed best team in the country), won the SEC Title, and either made the playoff or came very close to it and still made a top 6 bowl game.

You guys are letting your fear of Orgeron cloud your judgment if you don't think that would give him the job lol.

I do think if he won out, including an SEC title, he would get the job and would deserve it.

People in his position are obligated to say whatever is in the best interest of the institution they represent. Throwing bullshite at the media and anyone else is just part of the job.

It's in LSU's best interests for Alleva to dangle the carrot in front of O even if Alleva has no intention to ever hire him.

That's not all he said. Why wouldn't you include his explanations as to why?

Booger is a ESPN commentator. they pay his bills, not LSU. He has no more insight than the posters on this board.

I like Booger but if O wins out the job is his. And Booger knows that is true

Yep I heard that also, just don't think that is true if Coach O wins out. If Coach O wins out he will have to do it with a successful offensive performance going forward which has been the crux of our issues for the past 3 years. If he wins out, in all honesty, he deserves a shot and he will get it. But I assume his contract will be middle of the road SEC type numbers and will make it easy for LSU to make a swift change if need be not costing LSU too much.

But Booger is wrong if Oregeron wins out the only way he doesn't get the job is if Saban calls Alleva and says he wants the job.

Also everyone on this board thinks we will get Herman and I would believe it to if Texas weren't in the mix for his service but they will be. Strong at this point can't even save his job the loss to OU sealed his fate from what I was told. The UT boosters really, really want Herman and will give him what he wants to take the job.

I agree. If the decision makers wait until the season is over before making up their mind, it will probably be too late. A decision needs to be made quickly(and may already have been) in order to land their choice, whether it be O, Hermann, Fisher, one of the Kelly's, or whoever.
