Available HC Jobs

I think LSU keeping Les Miles after last season could actually end up being a good thing for their next hire.
Looking around the college landscape, they shouldn't have too much competition in their coaching search this offseason.
Texas, Penn State, USC, Florida, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Michigan, Georgia, Va Tech, and Miami have all hired coaches in the last couple years. I'm not trying to say that any of those jobs are better or worse than LSU, just that those are some of the best jobs in the country (including LSU) and they shouldn't have to worry them as competition in the coaching search.
If Notre Dame keeps Brian Kelly (personally I think they should), then LSU has got to be the job for this offseason

Texas could be open at the end of this year
Another mediocre season and they could pull the trigger if they think they need to hire Herman this year before someone else does.

Texas could open up, but I think they give Charlie Strong another season as long as he gets to about 7 wins. It's tough firing a guy after his third year, but Texas could be the place that would do it.

USC will be open.
So there will be two major jobs, potentially 3 if Strong collapses at UT.

I just think if he keeps getting scored on like he has been, and doesn't pull off a signature win (doesn't look like ND counts) that TX is a school that would fire Strong now if they feel like Herman won't be available next year.

I dont think texas will open. The big 12 is bad this year, so i think theres a good chance they get to 9-10 wins. USC is a possibility, but they've had a fairly tough schedule to start the season, so they may be able to turn it around.

Texas is a very liberal campus. I can't see them firing a black HC, before he gets a chance to fix the mess he inherited from Mack Brown.
Frankly he deserves one 4 year recruiting cycle. If it's not happening then, sack him.
We love know UT WANTS Herman, but does he want UT? Or LSU? Who knows?
