It’ll be one of these 4 because if it’s not, it’ll be a huge failure and Woodward’s “legacy hire” turned out to be a dud.

Blows my mind you’re lumping Aranda in with Saban and Urban. We had Aranda and let him leave. He isn’t HC of LSU material.

This is dumb. Saban is completely unrealistic. Woody plays pc politics and won't go for Urban give recent depictions. Fickell would be great but is a long shot. What about others like Rhule (also a long shot) and Kiffin?

We didn't "let him leave". He took over a Power 5 team. We weren't going to fire Coach O coming off arguably the greatest season ever in college football (to make him the HC), and the opportunity to be a HC was something he didn't want to pass up (to stay our DC).
Coaches have a say in their future.

What if Aranda and Woodward had a hush hush conversation when Aranda left. He gets HC experience while O gets enough rope to hang himself with.

That's a plausible scenario, but it doesn't seem like Woodward's MO to make that kind of a backdoor deal with an unproven (at the HC level) commodity.
