Aranda listed as Associate Head Coach....

What does that mean? Is it a new title since the change? If he was an Associate Head Coach before the change, why didn't he assume head coach position?

I think it means they like what Aranda brings and they want to give him a show of confidence in hopes that maybe he could stick around through the new coaching hire.
Obviously that is dependent on the new HC wanting him to be around and Aranda meshing with the new HC.
In the end, it probably doesn't really mean anything, but it is Monday and Les got fired, so I'm all for speculation.
