Any word on the special teams coach search?

I haven't read anything in a while on where we are on the ST search. Was there a hint of specific targets?

They may be targeting someone in a bowl game, or someone even in the pros, but I would think we should hear some breaking news by sometime next week.
The uncertainty now is whether DC will stay or leave for Oregon and if we get an upgrade at LB coach.

I heard rumored a while back that Andre Powell from Pitt was getting a lot of looks under the radar. Their ST were good this year and Canada is definitely familiar with him. But, he is the RB coach there, so who knows.
If Craig leaves, likely Curtis Johnson would fill the gap.

Do you think Johnson would leave the Chicago Bears to come to LSU? It would be a damn good pickup if he does.

Should give Jeff Ulbrich a look.
Was a decent special teams and LB coach at UCLA, but a sold recruiter. Recruited Kenny Young out of John Curtis to commit to UCLA a few years back.

He's currently coaching LBs for the Falcons turning Deon Jones into a shoe-in for the all-rookie team.
