All of this "O as long as he hires a quality OC" is stupid.

People who say this must think there are no-brainer, can't-miss OCs in abundance. You sound like hiring O is the biggest risk.
Is it possible that we hire Coach O AND we don't make a good hire at OC?

Hey Coach O, we know that you can't really run a defense nor an offense because, well, no one has ever hired you to do that. Do you have any friends that can come and coach for you? We really like how you let all of the alumni feel special. Sending them a gift basket was swell.

I don't think people realize just how hard it is to find a top tier OC and keep them around for more than a few years.. and anyone who thinks that Lane Kiffin would leave that national championship factory to coach for his former assistant is clearly fricked in the head.

Two of his previous hires at Ole Miss are head coaches now : Frank Wilson and High Freeze.
USC West, OC Tee Martin, I think was on his staff.
