was Sean McDermott a DC candidate in 2008?

obviously McDermott seems like the impossible dream right now so I at least wanted to try and figure out if he and Miles had ever even met, and I found this blogspot post about the DC search after Pelini left. way at the bottom he writes:
"Some other out of left field ideas include Mike Waufle, the NY Football Giants current DL Coach, along with NFC East opponent Sean McDermott, who coaches the secondary for the Iggles of Philadelphia."
I have no idea if this is just one guys random conjecture or if McDermott was actually a candidate and met with Miles, that's why I'm asking. just seems odd for his name to come up twice, especially in 2008 when he was essentially unknown.
and this is unrelated but Miles name also came up in the Offical Fire Sean McDermott thread started by some Eagles fans in 2011 when he was the DC there. be careful what you wish for, everybody.

We're not getting an NFL lifer who's the DC of a playoff team and had the #1 overall D in the league a grand total of one year ago.

I am an Eagles fan and he absolutely sucked in Philly. McDermott nearly set us back 5 years.
