'* There was a ton of chatter Friday morning about UT athletic director Dave Hart’s potential travel plans for the next few days, and those are very fair questions considering the timeline of this search. We know Hart was in his office on campus Friday morning, but we don’t think he’s been in Knoxville all day. In fact, we heard from multiple sources that UT officials met with Louisville head coach Charlie Strong today. We know from plenty of sources in plenty of circles that there is mutual interest between Strong and UT, and we think Hart has planned to get involved with Strong after Louisville’s BCS-clinching, regular-season-ending win Thursday night at Rutgers'

I wonder how the AD situation would affect his decision. Hart won't be his boss next year.

He coached those kids well in the comeback against Rutgers last night. Solid HC IMO 10-2 regular season, can recruit well and he'd bring some much needed energy back to the program

I think we need to just ban all Vol fans from the Coaching Changes board.

It was looking like Gruden, Petrino, Fisher, and now Strong. I think it is going to end up being somebody off the radar that none of you guys are expecting.

Agreed. I hope it's Charlie Strong. But I have a feeling we are going to get turned down again. I'm scarred.

Petrino was never being considered and never will be.

Looking more likely. Seems like it was very clearly Gruden or bust, and now the big donors are at war with the administration. No competent coach should walk into that. I fully expect a few important people to 'step down' in the near future.

From Gruden to Strong?

Jumping of the proverbial cliff from #1 to #2 eh?

Strong = Tubby Lite. I hope that the Vols do hire him. I don't want him at Auburn.

I disagree. Strong will be good for anybody IMO.

Strong could do good things there. They could do much worse.

If we can, I'm sure we will. It's looking more and more like 3-4 more years of 30,000 empty seats.
