What is the OP really trying to say? If you have some information then by all means bring it forth. This isn't the first time this topic has been brought so I'm just trying to figure out beside grand speculation who here knows what the hell they are talking about.

Just shut up! Do we all need to take the example from au fans on how to act toward our fellow man?

Good to see generalization being used to discriminate. Isn't that what you're accusing him of?

Stay in Auburn, get paid, wait until his son graduates from AHS next year.

It's too simple for even Bammers to get.

blzr...you're better than that.

Also,
AU Frats go KKK for Halloween

This isn't representative of "AU fans' true colors" any more than one off handed comment is representative of all of Bama fans' true colors.

I understand this has become the AU party line, driven, it seems, by allin2010 (who also swore that trooper would remain on staff). Fact is, Trooper has made efforts towards at least two jobs already. That would fly in the face of this "waiting" approach that seems to be believe by only a select few AU fans.

(and, ftr, I like WarSlamEagle, so this isn't a bash toward her)

I know more than a few people who know Trooper personally, and theu all say he is a really good-hearted guy. They say he genuinely cares about his players and the people he works with. I think his fault is that he is not hard enough on his players when they frick up, which can lead to some problems, obviously.

Maybe allin2010 (aka auburntiger77) lost his inside source at AU when Gus kicked TTaylor to the curb.

He swore Trooper would be retained because Jacobs kept him in the offices (workin tha phones & contacting the recruits) in the wake of Chiz getting canned. Gus decided to sweep the place clean, great decision by Gus IMO.

I've heard much of the same about him. He's got the best of intentions relative to his players, and genuinely wanting them to succeed in life. It's the way he goes about "helping" them that can lead to issues. He wanted to be a players coach, he wanted to have a personal relationship with them and try to impart some wisdom and guidance that would help them. In the end what they may have needed was a firm hand and some tough love.

Her?

And I'm just going off of what I've heard from my siblings (who go to AHS). It might just be rumor, but I've heard a lot of people say this around town.

This is a very fair opinion of TT.

My apologies. I thought "her" for some reason. Not posting style related and not meant to be a slam at all.

Hmmm.... there is a poster who named himself after Trooper's towel. Hmm....I think you boys pumped him up so much the other posters were just waiting for the crash.

Man, I never really understood all the trooper hate. The guy waved a towel on the sideline? BFD.

I have heard folks say he was dirty recruiting, but when has that been documented even down to a specific player?
