He's actually a very good recruiter

He's actually not. Highest ranked class of #22. Usually in the mid #30's. Never brought in a 5 star. All he gets are OU and Texas cast offs.

Must be a solid coach then.

Weak conference with the two power houses of it down. In eight years he's beaten Oklahoma once and Texas twice. 11/12 wins is impressive wherever you are, I'll give him that, but I wouldn't consider him a solid hire.

Gundy has hit the ceiling at Okie Lite. Even with players like Blackmon, Dez, and Weeden, he won't ever have enough talent to deal with OU and Texas consistently. I could easily see him at UT.

I think his win/loss trajectory is impressive. I don't believe Les Miles ever would have brought the program up that far.

Why in the world can't somebody post a story about them or one of their buddies banging Layla Kiffin?

Surely somebody besides Lane hit that.

Then most are naive to how good Manziel is. Which is weird, because it should be quite apparent to all.

And some are naive and don't understand that football takes 22 people to play. And some understand that it will not be the
exact same team next year. I will be surprised if the aggies win 10 games next year.

Sorry but Arky hiring Bielema proved that all these rumor threads about lists and offers and interviews are 100% bullshite.

But where he is at, it is hard to recruit over those schools.

Tennessee has no big brother, and they spend the most on their recruiting budget of any school in SEC. I think the guy would definitely recruit well at UT.

Tenn will hire Strong, and it is a damn good hire IMO.
A damn good hire if you want UT to be a perpetual third or fourth place in the SEC East behind UGA, UF and USCe. It's takes more than just recruiting to win big time in the SEC. I don't think Strong has the necessary experience as a head coach to take over a big time program like Tennessee and by-pass the other SEC East big boys. He'll probably be better than Dooley, but there's no way I hire anybody with only a few years experience as head coach at Louisville on their resume' to lead a program like UT.

T. Boone Pickens and all his money disagree.

Tennessee has no big brother

Tennessee's big brother is wherever they are going out of state to recruit kids. Tennessee's in state talent is slim pickings.

Why? What brings you to this conclusion? That's the kind of dumb arse reasoning that brought in Dooley. He can't do it in the WAC, I bet he can be successful here. (Before retards jump in and point out Gundy's 11/12 win seasons, I've already acknowledged that and it's not what I'm referring to with this comparison.)

Strong said he hasn't gotten a new contract. He just turned them down. He said there was no back and forth. Interdasting.
