I truly hope he is great, and is the right fit at LSU, but is most definitely a hire that causes concern
Sums up how I felt the day we hired Les Miles.

I honestly don't know how to feel about this hire until Moscona tells me how to feel

Of courese Ponamsky likes the hire, Steele is a decent recruiter. We're going to recruit like crazy, and then, like Slowflo said, "On Saturdays we'll just wing it."

God forbid an anti-Les thread stays unanchored or whacked

A terrible DC and good recruiter really is the perfect fit right now. I will check back with this program in a couple years.

Ponamsky is a clown, I'm sure he's been givien his marching orders to pump this hire. Didn't shock me at all to hear him applauding it when I got in my car

I've been called a negatiger since 2007. In 2009, I stated that Chad Jones single-handidly beating Mississippi State set back our program by saving Les Miles. I've been a huge Miles' basher.

As much as I ride Miles, he's still a top ten coach in college football. And, he's still among a very few who have won a NC, and fewer who have been their twice. Heck, I think he did an effing great job in not losing every SEC game after what we saw against MSU and Auburn.

I still wish he was at Michigan though.

I'd say people were ramped up again to run him out in 2010, T-Bob saved his arse on that one...if Les loses that game under those circumstances I honestly believe he doesn't return in 2011

I dunno, some admin who in no way shape or form would let their personal opinions or beliefs sway their admin privileges

So basically Les flew Kev to Pinehurst for golf and Chicago for some pizza as a smokescreen?

We should have seen this coming. I forgot Steele was up for an admin role at LSU in 2012. Don't remember what happened.

He's a Les hire. Safe, not a threat, not HC material, etc. Les likes guys who have already tried to climb the coaching ladder and settled on coordinator.
