Where have all the insiders gone? I fully planned on some juicy new rumor by now and nothing.

I have a contact that I trust that told me about Chavis a week before it happened.

That guy doesn't even know what is going on relative to the search.

Is no news good news and when will we have a new DC?

I personally think Miles hasn't told anyone anything.

You'll probably start hearing more this afternoon.

I'm not freaking out. This search has been very different than others though it seems.

I think Miles promotes himself and takes over as both DC and head ball coach.

This. The defense has been holding AJ back and Miles is going to correct their flaws.

eta: Miles of course gets paid both salaries along with an extension and higher buy out.

It seems to me that since LSU is not a private business, after the choice is made it would have to at least be approved by a few people inside the University, and it would take some time.

He's certainly destroys our offense like nobody else. If he can do half as much against other teams, goat.

I never thought of that, imagine if every offense we played looked like ours? Holy shite you're onto something.

Right now, I think everyone is just speculating at best. It is possible not even Miles knows who the DC will be as we currently sit.

I've got an advanced copy of his notes from the presser when he plans to announce this decision.

Les: I've decided to absorb the responsibilities of the defensive coordinator position into my own. I've realized that if you wanna get something done right, you've gotta do it yourself. So, I'm gonna be breaking through the wall of the office that would have been the DC's and make one huge enormous office. However, I will only be taking eighty five percent of the additional salary I'm entitled to. And that is self sacrifice people.

(someone has to get that reference...I hope)

It seems that the most prominent rumor-mongers have already been shown to be full of excrement and have quit posting.

In their collective absence, there is a silence.

So far we have heard Pendergast to LSU w/Orgeron is nearly complete (until PC withdrew his name), then Stoops will be named DC after the interview, Shoop has been contacted (until he had not been), etc.

The latest, which I think may be the most speculative, is that Brick will be promoted to DC and Orgeron will be hired to fill his spot.

That, almost by definition, would be a fail when you are forced to replace your DC with the guy he was supervising two weeks ago. Not good.

As such, until shown otherwise, I will not believe that rumor either.

BDP has been put in a cloning machine and will assume both DC co-coordinator positions.

Honestly I don't know whether to believe CP actually withdrew his name or not. I wouldn't be surprised to see him still hired
