What does LSU have to do to get Ron Cooper back as defensive backs coach? He left to be DB coach in the NFL for Tampa Bay, then the head coach got fired. So he went to USF. He's improved the secondary for USF from previous years. Even with our big time recruits, the defensive back play has fallen off since he left. And Patrick Peterson loves the guy and recruits love Patrick Peterson.

So... What do we have to do to get him back?

Defensive backfield was the strongest group on the team.

PP loves him some Raymond too. as do recruits apparently. about the only area I really wanna see our DBs improve is in holding on to INTs.

Wow just wow. Raymond has done an outstanding job at LSU. NO need to worry about our DB coach we have a good one now

This. There's a reason Ron Cooper's average stint at any school is about 3-4 years. Spurrier demoted him for similar hi jinx while at USC

Yes Raymond is very good. Ron Cooper coached at LSU when the Tigers had some incredible DBs ...a couple were generational type players and several good NFL players to boot. Raymond is keeping up this tradition with very good talent(not as good) and less headaches. Why is Cooper at USF? That is the question one needs to ask.

I also don't think he left here on the best terms.
Allegedly he would offer scholly's with out talking to the coaching staff or Frank Wilson.
