One thing is certain, this whole thing is fluid . . .

Sources don't mean anything. Now it is being reported that Harbaugh is not going to the NFL and it will be between Stanford and Michigan. If that is the case, I can see why Michigan is waiting for him to decide. So, whatever we are hearing (or are not hearing) on the LSU end regarding Miles has to be considered along with the Harbaugh situation.

More and more I am thinking that Michigan is not interested in Miles.

I wish Harbough would just take the job and end all of the speculation.

I thought Mortensen was reporting Stanford or San Francisco? When did they say Michigan was back in play?

This does not appear to be true.

Not sure where you're getting your "sources" to say this, but I haven't seen this reported anywhere.

Now bring the pitchforks on to Crowton.

IMHO Harbaugh is playing the best game of his life. I believe Michigan will sign him to the most lucrative contract in college history. Don't believe Les has even been contacted.

Nope. None or most of what is being reported has no factual ground. All speculation.

The winning notwithstanding, would you - as the AD at Michigan - want a man who has been nationally mocked and rediculed twice in the last 2 years?

Somebody wrote a piece saying that Harbaugh's EX wife and kids are near Stanford.

Apparently she said she publically that she is not moving (to Ann Arbor.)

If JH wants to see his kids, he has to deal with the ex-wife's life too... This is a legit reason why he won't take the Michigan job..

Expect 49ers or staying at Stanford. Michigan is out of the picture unless she has had a change of heart to follow Jim. did I mention EX-wife???

Aint happening!

Harbaugh is from California, in fact Palo Alto, according to SVP. Played football at Palo Alto High School.

Yes, he went ot UM, but he's living at home. That is a pretty strong draw.

The Michigan Scout board had a link that quoted Elway I think.

Now, I'm seeing on Twitter that its between 49ers and Stanford. Might have been wishful thinking by Michigan people.

See what I mean? Fluid.

But, I do think that there was some renewed hope on the Michigan side that Harbaugh might reconsider after the Miami job didn't work out. If he stays put, then I think Michigan looks elsewhere. That might have been what they were waiting for.

So, even though Miles seems to be staying, it either hasn't gotten to that point yet or Michigan doesn't want him. I'm thinking it might be both.

Isn't winning what matters? Why would that NOT be concidered?
If he wins 75-80% of his games, goes .500 or better against his rivals, brings in top 10 recuiting class year after year, and is consitantly in the conversation for conferance and national titles, then hell yeah I'd take him. I could care less what a bunch of idiot talking heads on ESPN think.

Although I do find it interesting that the sports talk guys never know what they are talking about...unless they are badmouthing Miles, then they become geniusaes to LSU fans.

Latest here from AA: (and know that Brandon leaks nothing, so this is all someone's conjecture) Brandon and JH are talking today. Brandon's comments at the presser firing RR and naming JH and saying he was likely going to the NFL seemed to have unleashed a deluge of alums, former players and team mates, dogs, cats children calling JH. It is even "speculated" that Miami's Ross closed his discussions with JH with his thoughts about JH not taking the UM job (Ross' alma mater as well, he is a big $$$ donor there, whole business school is named for him). No independent confirmation has been made, just one "connected, unnamed" source. The usual.
