Observing Florida and Nebraska's hiring decisions, maybe we should just keep CLM

A lot of ADs don't know what the hell they're doing. I have no reason to believe that our blockhead of an AD is somehow a cut above.

is it that, or are this just not that many sure thing hires around?

The coaching market sucks right now. It has little to do with bad AD's.
Even in 2005, we went and hired a coach that was 28-21 at Oklahoma State when we couldn't have been more loaded on both sides of the ball.

Perhaps that's it. Boom had to go, but I would have thought twice about canning Pelini in this market (though he wasn't anything special either).

This I agree with.
I genuinely like Coach Miles as a person. However, I am starting to get tired of our offensive blunders every damn year (except last season).
A part of me feels it's time for a new spark. Another part of me doesn't trust that if Miles was to leave, that we would make a good hire, because I don't think most the proven guys out there would leave their jobs for the SEC west.

I think David Cutcliffe would be the safest hire. He is only making $1.5 at Duke.

Didn't you hear? Jimbo is just waiting in the shadows.

All due respect to Nebraska but that job is nowhere near lsu hc right now.

I'm pretty burned out on CLM, but I'm not looking to replace a solid coach with just anything.

I kept telling UF fans all last offseason that they were screwed because the hot coaching pipeline got cleaned out last cycle.
Next offseason will be more exciting.
