More like Sexton seeing the pay scale get upped thanks to A&M, and sees another huge raise from Alabama. Why not take UGA last year otherswise?

What a shite show this coaching search has turned out to be...

here's where you err; it is not a show.

it's a search for the right DC by a team that was back stabbed by their DC and left with no warning. regardless of what you think, this search is not for public entertainment but actually to hire an important staff member.

A contract sitting on a desk unsigned while everyone else has signed extensions is hardly no warning. There was serious smoke of Chavis to A&M for more than a week before that bowl game.

If LSU gets a DC from another school will that coach be "stabbing their team in the back and leaving without warning"?

Did they have suits and ties or capes and swords?
Also, did these "important" people have names and titles or classes and levels?

I'm trying to determine which fantasy world you're living in.

It would not be a hard sell. Apparently he has grown tired of Saban taking all the credit and giving little acknowledgement to the rest of the staff.

Seems like a no brainer for Smart then. Go to division rival with tons of talent. Become head coach and show the world how you can beat him in recruiting and yearly on the field. It'd be the ultimate way to prove your worthiness.

Not happening.

Kirby Smart is biding his time for the day Richt retires at Georgia.

I rather have Kiffin than Smart to be honest if I had to pick a coach from their staff.

I guess we can just hope/pray LSU never plays a team with a spread attack because we're gonna get bent over and fricked raw.

Like allowing 500 yards rushing to Auburn?

Its probably

"Here is a bunch of money and a chance to up your stock as a head coach prospect by proving you can run a Defense ash you aren't just Saban's #2"

So is everyone saying all of the #1 defenses were all Saban's doing and every time the defense sucks it must be Smart's fault? Why is it not Saban's fault their D wasn't as good this year if Smart doesn't do anything?

Can I get some links to back up how he throws his assistants at alabama under the bus?

Smart needs to leave Alabama. He was hot for HC for awhile but his stock has dropped. He has to show he can be good without Saban.

If he succeeds at LSU he would be at the top for some HC jobs again pretty soon.

It must get very tiresome that when your D is good it it because Saban runs it and when it is bad it is all your fault.

Zero chance of this hire ever happening. About as likely as the discussions of Orgeron becoming the DC at LSU.

you forgot to end this statement with 'FACT'.

Honestly though, you seem adamant. How are you so certain this won't happen?

I am not saying it would happen, but it would be best for Smart long term.

I think LSU is still loaded with talent, has probably the most intimidating home field and will continue to be a contender no matter who you get.

For most of the season, defense was not really your problem.

During the game last night the announcers mentioned "Sabin's Defense" several times so there could be some truth to this.

If I was Smart I would let Sabin take all of the credit for tOSU's offense man handling of Alabama's defense.
