What if....Herbstreit, who is a Ohio State Homer, is so anti-LSU, that he has spread a big rumor to create distraction to make sure LSU tanks it against Tennessee, thus eliminating ANY shot of them getting into the BCS championship game? That way, even if tOSU gets in, there will be no chance that they will, once again, be humiliated by an SEC team proving, unequivocally, that Ohio State, their conference, and ESPN are all complete fricking jokes.

It's a theory....

fixed it

ETA: You think Kirk would stake his rep for a #7 team to lose so his #3 team would get into the title game?

You clearly didn't think this one out.

This theory is about as good as "Spurrier: O Coordinator, Saban: D Coordinator, Beamer: Special Teams, Skip Bertman: Head Coach"

Yeah....upon further review, that was pretty fricking stupid. Oh well...it blends right in on the good old TD "Coaching Changes" board.

You have to admit, the momentum of "permission to talk to" and "one out in his contract for Michigan job" and "Lloyd Carr retires" all were pretty compelling that he had to be in secretive talks, but who knows.

Coaches are (like) politicians. Homostreet probably saved Les for y'all, whether you wanted it or not.

That's about as good as the "He hates Michigan so much he leaked this bs story to get Miles to not go because he knows how great a coach Miles is".

Now I love a conspiracy theory and Coach Miles as much as anyone out there, but that is too much for even me!
