I read where he will no longer be the Au president after June of 2013. Is that true? I have also read where he says he will make the decisions on whether to retain or fire Chizik with imput from JJ and the board. But it is his decision.

It seems like he would keep the status quo, keep Chiz, JJ and etc and let the new Au president make changes in 2013+. That way if changes are made the new hires will be the new President's men.

To me that just seems like a reasonable position an "lame duck/Outgoing" School President would make. Keep things the same for now and let the new guy make all the changes he wants that way they will all be on the same page.

This could be the reason for all the "Chiz will get another year" talk has come out lately.

Does that really matter? My question(s) are legitimate:

Is Au President Dr. Gogue finishing out his contract in June of 2013 and will not be the Au pres after that date?

Would it not be like a University President to pass the buck on a decision like this to the next guy when they know they will not be back?

Nobody here knows shite. We are all speculating on countless rumors at this point and it could turn out that not a single one is true

Well it might lay some credence to your claims as I have not heard this, so yes it really does matter or are you ashamed to divulge where you read this.

His contract expires next year. He could retire or sign a new contract.

Even if he does retire in June 2013, that's too late to be replacing a football coach. With the signing date in February AU needs a coach in place as soon as possible after the season ends. ...And no, they can't keep Chiz for another year. Not after what AU did this year.
