Darryl was supposed to die in the first season. The writers did not anticipate his popularity.
Darryl, Rick, and Carl are the only ones I see that are safe from being killed off.
Glenn and Maggie who knows depending on whether they follow the comic or go a different direction.
Herschel, Beth, and carol are gone.

Carol may hang around longer if they try to make her comic Andrea. They should do this , turn her into the schizo whore she was in the comics, or kill her because as is she is useless.

The treatment of Abraham in the comics was criminal. Let's finally introduce a legit bad arse character who the fans like and then have him killed...by a fricking arrow to the neck. Such a waste.
The comic has mostly struggled with trying to recapture the great cast it had in the beginning. Kirkman likes to kill off the better characters and then replace them with shallow characters that then get killed off.
Curious how this war arc plays out and who is left hanging around.

Pure speculation of course. I doubt it happens with Glen and Abraham having been killed off so recently.

tbh though this absolutely came as a complete surprise to me. It sucked that he died, but I'll give Kirkman props for reminding me that no one is safe in the comic

I'm up to date on the comics and the show. Does anyone have trouble keeping the two separated? I am trying to recall certain events up to this point, and I can't remember which is which

I have the CV1 and all the volumes after that so I have a enough reference from reading it over and over to remember what's show and comic.

There's no way this happens. You can't kill off the main character unless you plan on ending the series. It'd be one thing if there was a strong #2 guy, but that's not the case. And Carl isn't credible enough to carry on the comic.
I do see Andrea or Michonne biting the bullet. Probably Andrea if I had to guess.

I have every issue, and have read them multiple times. No problem keeping it separate for me. In fact I love how different they are. Makes the show a fresh experience.

It's a way to give familiarity but change things up a bit. The same thing they did with Allen, Otis, Penny, the prisoners. Hell even the Governor, other than being the leader of Woodbury that wasn't even the same guy.
