Just got a chance to start into this book, so far it is a completely off the wall interesting funny concept.

4 out of 5 stars would recommend, with holding final review until completion.

bestselling author Brandon Sanderson meshes Jason Bourne and epic fantasy in this captivating adventure that throws an amnesiac wizard into time travel shenanigans—where his only hope of survival lies in recovering his missing memories.
Essentially inter-dimensional travel is readily available for purchase in the future, combined with the above outline. Don’t wanna give away to much more

FYI the random disclaimers in this book are hilarious IMO

Barnes and Noble lists this as #2 in a series. What was the first book?

So Brandon Sanderson did a take on Hitchhiker’s Guide?

That sounds awesome

Must be referring to it is number 2 on his secret projects series.

It is a stand alone book as far as I know not related to anything else.

Anyone else having trouble loading the E-Pub file to Kindle?

Only version it recognizes is the .pdf.

Kindle does not like epubs. You have to get an epub reader from the Amazon Appstore.

It had no issue with the files for Tress. And if it matters, I am talking about the Kindle app on Android.

Pretty funny so far. 44% through and it’s crazy that Sandersons secret books for “fun” are still better than a lot of crap put out there. Tress was amazing.

K so finished now. No plot spoilers but…

So it was a good novel but one I don’t think I’ll ever want to reread. Seemed like a fun side project which is what exactly it was for him. Lots of repetitive use of the word Damn instead of switching it up annoyed me at the end and just some other nitpicky things plot wise I won’t post in case people are still reading. Was still a fun read but the worst book he’s written that I’ve read at least (Elantris was my least fav before this). Bit surprising with how good Tress was but Tress is cosmere so might have put more effort in it?

I had kickstarted the Sanderson secret project books and then promptly forgot about them - thanks for the reminder on this one Book Board, read it yesterday and enjoyed it quite a bit.

Is it a one off or the start of a series?

I've been able to load his secret books to my Nook app (iPad) with no problem.

Just seeing the title made me think maybe a Douglas Adams protégé had written a fantasy novel
