Does anyone have any recommendations for a great Julius Caesar biography? Interested in learning more about that time period and Caesar himself. Thanks in advance.

Well... You could start of by reading one of hia own works about his various military campaigns.

No better source about himself than himself eh?

Rubicon by Tom Holland, not a biography but an entertaining book about Caesar's rise and that time period.

Absolutely worth the time, just keep in mind Caesar pumped himself up sometimes at the expense of lower commanders that actually did the fighting.

I recently finished Ceasar:Life of a Colossus by Adrian Goldsworthy.
I recommend it.
