Sequel to The Firm.
Anyone read the whole thing?
I got it from the library and I’m about 15% in.
Wondering if it’s worth it to suffer through Grisham’s libtard mini rants.

I've never read Grisham, but if I'm reading a book that pisses me off because of this kind of shite, I'll just put the book down and not look back.

Still only 20% in.
Spoiler so far
No. They went to Italy for a long time.
Went to London and joined a firm then decided they wouldn’t live in fear and moved to NY where he is in a mega firm.

Not worth the effort to finish the 330 pgs.
I read it in an evening and thought it was a waste of time

In high school a long time ago I read every Grisham book. Then sometime in college or shortly after, I was reading one and finally realized/admitted they aren’t very good anymore.
Seemed like he’d start decent, then when he had enough pages written he’d start looking for an exit.
Still pisses me off that in The Partner on the very last page of the book the girl takes the money and runs.

Horrible. Unlike most, I find his recent novels enjoyable, if not must reads. This was nothing remotely close to that. It a was complete waste of time. He mailed it in or paid someone to mail it in for him. A few hundred pages of give up artist trash. Nothing of redeemable value at all.

Some connection to The Firm would have been more satisfying.
Instead he tried to produce a Baldacci book without the ability to do so.

Exactly! I'm still slogging through this and it's a task. This is a story nobody asked for and connecting it to the firm and its characters is weak. I guarantee that 95% of the people reading this expected the mafia to catch up to Mitch and Abby still on the run and with Ray and Tammy somehow involved. I don't know if it's ignorance or arrogance, but Grisham has no clue on what his faithful readers want.

Recently finished this one and it was mediocre at best. The connection to The Firm was ridiculous. Plus, the entire storyline was silly. The only positive was that it was a quick read to the end.
