Dread Empire's Fall series by Walter Jon Williams

Anyone else read this space opera series, starting with The Praxis? It is just fantastic. I read it initially years ago and just started a re-read because there's a sequel trilogy out. Hard sci-fi in far future, space battles with no FTL and no magical anti-gravity technology. Amazing world/society construction. The Expanse series is the only other hard sci-fi space opera I've read in the last two decades that is as good. If you liked The Expanse, you have to give this one a try. Two trilogies and a couple standalones in this universe.
