Might want to go read up on your Targaryen family history. Most notably Aegon the Conqueror.
Possibly so. I haven't read the first three books since before Feast came out. Maybe I have forgotten more than I thought.

Am I a bad book reader that I don't even remember Cellador?
Honestly I didn't even think of it until some nerd from the Westeros forum brought it up. Don't feel bad.

No. What makes a bad reader are these people that constantly say how bad AFFC and aDwD when they don't remember or forget 75% of what happens in these books because they haven't been shown it on television yet or half arse read the books one time.
I've compiled a list before of things that happen in both books. Either here or on westeros. And I remember it being quite long even though I'd condensed a lot of my outline. It's just so much that happens that it's very difficult to remember it all

It seems unlikely that Ned would not know his sister had wed.
From what you know from the Tower of Joy, it seems highly likely he knows that his sister was wed, and he knew exactly what he would find there. The Kingsguard knew that they knew as well, so they didn't beat around the bush as far as the Viserys issue is concerned and point blank told them what happened.

So why would they fight? There is no way Ned would kill his nephew.

He was Robert's right hand man. Sure Ned wouldn't kill him himself, but from what they and even Lyanna knew, he would still turn the child over to Robert. I don't think they had any doubt that Ned would try to protect the child and plead with Robert to spare it, but they knew that that would be his doom. There's a reason Lyanna didn't die until she got a promise from Ned. Ned committed pretty hardcore treason by protecting Jon that could have meant the end of their house if Robert realized it. Lyanna had to secure the promise out of him, and he kept it. No reason the Kingsguard should have thought he would have made such a vow, especially for how loyal he was to Robert.

All I can say is wow.
In all these years it never occurred to me that R and L might have married. But when I stop and think about it it makes sense because of how heavy handed GRRM is with throwing the bastard title around with Jon.

Look at Joffrey....a King who was really a Bastard. Same with Tommen. Whereas Jon is a Bastard who is really as Highborn as they come and should be the King....he has the blood of Old Valyria and the blood of the First Men. He's basically akin to the Merovingian bloodline.

There's a reference I haven't heard since World history.

I thought it would be a clever analogy to use .
Haven't seen you post in a while! Hope med school isn't killing you .

IIRC Rhaegar Targaryen is singing a song of Ice and Fire in a dream by Dany? Rhaegar is singing about Jon. The Prince who was Promised.
I think I read this before on Westeros.

Martin wants a movie to finish the series. I doubt D&D or HBO will let that happen.

I approve of that route TBH. 7-8 seasons and a movie to end it all sounds good to me. That means he should have a good idea of how he wants to end the whole thing and it will be epic AF!

Nah not killing me, just got really busy with some other stuff like 3 weddings, a funeral for my first roommate, 2 formal dinners, a formal event at the British diplomatic mission in San Francisco, and flying into Dallas for the 4th to spend time with family, only to barely see said family.
So lately it hasn't been med school so much as striking a balance between work and social situations that was had me so preoccupied. Oh and finding time to sleep has been interesting as well.
Anyways, how's your accounting aspirations going? Also it seems that this place has been busy reviewing the new season, which I still haven't watched yet.

A movie is just the equivalent of two episodes. Screw that.
