Except she always comes out ahead after bad decisions.
She has the good fortune to learn from her mistakes yet suffers only minimal consequences compared to other characters and their bad decisions.

Let's discuss the Blackfyre conspiracy theory...
Outside of the Golden Company, who are the Blackfyres important to?
Sure we could say Illyrio/Varys but what is their loyalty speculation based upon?

People are loyal to strength. Westeros is full of weak leaders outside of Stannis. The Dragons are seen through the foggy lense of time as having been a time when the realm was strong and peaceful. "No one would have done this back when the Targaryens were king."

I got the impression the Blackfyres / GC are no longer anti-Targ, now that the dynasty has been toppled over.
Kinda like, "I can talk shite about my brother, but you better STFU."
Their loyalty lies with dragon blood, IMO.
Unless that's what they want us to think...knowing Faegon is a BF.

I just finished the Grand Northern Conspiracy.
Compelling stuff.

If the blackfyres can win dorne over then look out. They can be the biggest force to deal with on westeros.

Yeah, I don't think their is an vindictive agenda with the Blackfyre conspiracy.
The question is, will Aegon, himself, decide to fight Dany for the throne?
Will Aegon acquire the throne before Dany, thus forcing her to decide to challenge Aegon?
Or will these two make a dragon alliance?
Varys and Illyrio would advise for an alliance I would think, one in which Aegon ruled but perhaps it would come down to the dragons and whether Aegon could be a dragonrider... or die trying.

I'd say since he decided to get off his arse and get to westeros (unlike Dany) he will get to the iron throne first. But once Dany gets there varys and illiryo will have to pursue an alliance. I just can't tell how the north will play out in all of this towards the end.

On a separate but related topic, how did Bloodraven go from being the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch to a tree?
Did he just all of a sudden go missing and the Night's Watch decided he was dead?

Same as Benjen Stark, he disappeared and after a while people kinda forget.
Wonder if Benjen is a tree now? (I know he is probably Coldhands)

perhaps, The Children of the Forest say Coldhands died a long time ago and I think Bloodraven is the last functioning greenseer.
Benjen may be paste.

I think there is something seriously suspicious about TCOTF. I wouldn't trust one as far as I could throw him/her/it. Maybe they used some type of black/dark magic to lure BR into their magical cave...

TCOTF are controlling the white walkers, using them to retake Westeros.
They will make Bran warg a dragon to help them.

I trust the Children of the Forest completely.

Dunno if they have control or not, but my favorite theory is a faction of tCotF wanted the Others to wipe out humans in Westeros long ago, but shite got outta hand and the best control they could muster was to make them sleep 1,000 years at a time.

Yes obviously more ahead than someone who's a zombie and got most of her family killed. Dany has sabotaged the economy of multiple cities, completely ruined astapor, is at war with multiple eastern cities with the Volantes threatening(probably Pentos too if she promised it to the tattered prince), got her husband and unborn child killed and split up his khal. That's not including her marriage to Hizdahr or her undisciplined dragons. Hardly minimal consequences.
Point being saying she's not very good at handling power yet. I hope in her first chapters in TWOW she goes on a Drogon rampage after torturing Jhaqo and Maro and using their khal to destroy the Yunkai.

I do as well. They had the means to create obsidian weaponry to fight the Others. They allied with The First Men to bring the Others down the first time.

I think they're trustworthy. In Bran's coma Bloodraven shows him what happens if he doesn't find him. The COTF are helping BR and helped the first men fight the others so I don't see a reason to doubt their intentions.
