This is the most illuminating science book I have read. In addition, the author is a journalist, so he can write. This is not a dry listing of research notes and trial findings, so it is easy to read for a layman like me.

Realistically, without the knowledge of microbes as presented in this book, as far as medicine and biology is concerned, we're like Jon Snow in the cave.
