New Orleans Bowl MVP Trophy
by Larry Leo
December 26, 20127 Comments
The New Orleans Bowl MVP trophy is a new modern football helmet painted in green, gold and purple with a Mardi Gras theme by “sports artist” Thomas “Tuna” Seither. Seither also painted the image of the Superdome and a Bourbon Street lamp to complete the testament to the Crescent City.

“I tried to treat it just like a painting or a canvas and I didn’t let anything inhibit me,” Seither said in a story for The Advertiser. “As you look at the detail, that’s the detail I would have gotten on a painting. People are going nuts over it. I think people relate to a football helmet. It gets people going.”
