I think we all figured it would happen one day, but the Green Bay Packers are going to retire QB Brett Favre's #4... at some point. Packers president and CEO Mark Murphy said this Wednesday...

There are very few players in our history that had their number retired. ... But it's a very, very meaningful honor and we want to do it at a time when it’'s meaningful for both him and the organization."
It got ugly once he left Green Bay, but I think it would mean a lot to Favre to be embraced by Packer fans once again.
