Multiple sources are reporting Freshman cornerback Rico Johnson's playing career at Georgia is in jeopardy as a result of a recently discovered long-term medical issue. Per the Ledger-Enquirer:

Johnson played in every game on special teams, and although he wasn't on the two-deep yet in the secondary he appeared to have a future there. He signed with Georgia as a receiver, then switched to defense just before preseason practice.

A player who receives a medical disqualification can remain on scholarship, but will not count against the team's scholarship cap of 95. Junior fullback Merritt Hall received a medical DQ in the preseason because of multiple concussions.

I thought the scholarship cap was 85. When was it raised to 95?
