It was announced Wednesday that LSU leads all colleges with 38 former football players on NFL rosters during opening weekend. Per Nola.com:

The Tigers are one ahead of Southern California (37), followed by Alabama (36), Georgia (34) and Florida (33). LSU's total will increse to 40 when Kansas City wide receiver Dwayne Bowe comes off a one-game suspension and former Tiger linebacker Kelvin Sheppard is added to the Miami Dolphins' roster. He was signed this week after being released by Indianapolis two weeks ago.
