ESPN is reporting that Utah State's Frank Maile has been hired by Vanderbilt to be the new defensive line coach and will replace Vavae Tata who was arrested Feb. 16 for drunk driving.
quote:Maile has spent the last six years with Utah State and has been on Vanderbilt's campus this week coaching during practices.
After being hired on Jan. 24, Tata was arrested Feb. 16 and suspended two days later. Tata pleaded guilty to drunk driving March 5 in an agreement that dismissed a count of leaving the scene of an accident, and Vanderbilt announced later that day that Tata wouldn't be part of Derek Mason's coaching staff this season.
