Vanderbilt coach James Franklin is expected to accept an offer to become the next Penn State coach, according to multiple reports. Franklin is from Langhorne, Pennsylvania and played college football at East Stroudsburg (Pa.). Prior to Vanderbilt, Franklin was the offensive coordinator at Maryland from 2008-10.
In three seasons at Vanderbilt, he has compiled a 24-15 record, with 2 bowl wins.
