His longterm future is no more…. but does he have 1 more year so we can get to the next draft and take another OT ??m

Don’t even get me started on Penning…. if you don’t work him at guard… you are wasting your time.

Pick any of the 2 guard positions and let the man work and learn.

Trevor Penning might do well at guard with someone helping him on either side (the tackle and center). He’ll be better able to use his mean streak and pile drive whoever’s in front of him.

Focusing on what’s in front of him and going against DTs and inside LBs might be the best way to utilize his talents. He’s not the most athletic NFL offensive lineman, but he’s an absolute mammoth of a man and he’s aggressive .

Sucks, the guy was playing like a HOFer prior to the contract and injury news.

I’ll be shocked if he ever plays another snap of football. The Saints have known this has been coming for 2-3 years now.

He actually graded as the 2nd most athletic tackle in the draft. But I agree, I think he should be the LG. Maybe the guy we drafted last year can play RT.

Penning is super athletic. The problem is that his technique is awful. It won’t matter where he plays until that is fixed. I still believe he can play tackle with the right coaching.

We will found out when camp starts. I am sure he will not have a hard preseason so he is ready for week 1.

Underhill has stated multiple times on his podcast that he has seen Tam this offseason and he lost a notable amount of weight. Said he looks like a TE. He looks like he’s preparing for post-football life prob a June 1st cut.

He’ll be IR in 2024 and 2025, collected his guaranteed salary. Retire after 2025 season. He gets paid and doesn’t frick the salary cap.

Win-win as long as the NFL doesn’t interfere.

Ramy? What position does she play?

Is she a travel softball player?

Was coming to post this. It seemed like the whole line was off last year. Penning might be an all pro LT with the right coaching or an all pro guard with the right coaching...he could also be a bust.

Coming out of college everyone said that he needed reps and he wound up getting hurt.
