Every state claims to have the most beautiful women but I’ve truly never heard Utah make that claim.

It's not cold.

If people did biatch so much, took some pride in their state and didn't expect the government to do everything, it would be better.

Is it? What about their taxes? It is colld as can be during winter. I don't recall New Orleans being burned in 2020 like Minny. And I'll take marsh and off shore fishing any day over their lakes.

I know it's regarded as a better state. But, if one does well in La, is it that much better?

Yeah remember that thread where you said your wife and daughter fart in front of you? I think this very common place in Louisiana.

I have one of those jobs and choose to live in Louisiana. The low cost of living is nice.

Look, Louisiana is a shithole. Objectively. But it does have some positives.

The people are bar none the most enjoyable to be around that I’ve experienced
The food is far better than any other comparable city or state (if you’re one of those people who think New Orleans has better food than NY, you’re just wrong)
I’m not a hunter or fisherman but from what I understand that is hard to beat

Are these things enough to make Louisiana worth spending the little time we have in life my home? Definitely not. But those are some nice attributes.

Way too many fatties for this to even be remotely true.

Take a trip to some Eastern European countries, my friend.

in 2022, MN had 207 murders. MN's population is 5.7 million.

New Orleans had > 280 murders in 2022.

Good point.

I've gone from dinner at the governor's mansion, to a tranny live reenactment of rocky horror picture show, to drinking beer around a fire in camo sweat pants that had been cut into capris... All in the same day.

The ability to go native is something we all do fairly well.

This has alot to do with it. Even though Louisiana is a red state, at its heart, it's an entitlement state. Louisianians believe they're owed something by someone, anyone, everyone. From all levels of Government to businesses and especially corporations.

Last night at the baseball field was a humidity haze/fog, sack-to-leg sticking air, mosquitos, and a formidable termite swarm. It was quite a nice evening to watch a game!

When we started coming there with Here to Serve, the to go margaritas and daiquiris are pretty nice after working in our mobile kitchen (with a temperature inside the trailer of about 120* for 8-10 hours).

Dont have that in Alabama

We have gone to LA more than any other state and by far they have some of the nicest, friendliest people. Especially at Deridder, Lake Charles and Prairieville.

What's redeeming about Minnesota or Kansas or the like?

The quality of life in those states is much higher than that of Louisiana.

You can't get more bland and boring than Minnesota and Kansas. Yeah, Louisiana has its problems, but life is fun there. I miss it tremendously.

Yeah, and the second your household breaks 200k in Louisiana you're doing pretty damned well.

LA has a lot of shitty areas, and is dragged down by the lowest tier citizens, but if you are in the top 15-20% I don't think your life would be much better in Minnesota.
