Why not just sell it to someone in the neighborhood for 50 cents on the dollar? Seems like lots of work for 5 cents a bottle

We had an employee we furnished with a gasoline card. Took us a while to catch him, but he would put $30 gas in other peoples vehicles on the card, and they pay him $15 cash.

Wouldn't they make more money by selling the water to pedestrians for a dollar a bottle?

That’s what families are doing on the MARTA in Atlanta. They load up on water and candy, then have the kids walk through the trains selling it at a 300% premium.

The kids are sweet, but their parents or guardians or whatever are absolute monsters.

Imagine buying a $1 water bottle from a crack whore on Plank Rd.

I knew a guy who really hit rock bottom with Heroin (Fentanyl)

every single day for 4 years (and counting) he would drive to a different walmart in metro Atlanta and walk the parking lot looking for receipts that people throw on the ground. He would then take the receipt into walmart, shop whatever was on the receipt and walk the items up tot he return desk and they would give him cash for his returns. I have no idea if he is still doing this or if he is even still alive but that's how he made his money!

That’s actually pretty smart. Until you get caught

You have to be pretty dumb to be homeless so this checks out.

I think Costco sells a 40 pack of 12 oz. bottles for under $5. On the way home from Costco the last time I went they had a guy selling ice cold bottles of water for $1 at a red light.

An ice chest, 2 bags of ice and a case of water will net the guy between $25-$30 if he sells them all.

Seems a lot better than selling the plastic to a recycler for a lot less profit.

Where I live they go to Sam’s and buy cases of coke products. Then they sell the sodas to convenience stores for cash.

The poor get the cash, the convenience stores get their drinks at a steep discount and the taxpayers get screwed. Again.

Where are they at? I’ll go buy the food stamp card for cash and be happy as can be.
