Like I said yesterday, I know they say there are 4K line workers out, but I haven’t seen one in 77007 or 77008 close to i10

Reports are that crews were just spotted near Westcott 77007.

I think the Heights was hit worse.

I heard Pacific Coast Taco opened up yesterday and I saw the light at TC Jester at Washington working at about 4pm yesterday.

Heading back into the city in a while to clean out the deep freezer….may just start cooking shite and handing it out to the poor saps around me who don’t have anywhere to go.

Yeah was open but think it was generator power. Gas station on 10/Washington also up.

All of Washington has power just nothing into the neighborhoods

Need to come south!

It amazes me they didn't work along i10 first. Its creepy driving down i10 between downtown and bunker hill at night with 0 streetlights

77433 Towne Lake where supposedly the center of circulation passed. Sounded like a freight train met Godzilla on my roof, opened up the side of my attic to the world.

Still no power, generator holding up with a small window unit, but it was overcast all day yesterday. Today will be the test.

Reading this thread is really incredible that this widespread damage was caused by a line of severe storms. Anybody that didn’t know would swear they are reading discussions after a Cat 3 passed through.

It is my firm belief that services be restored according to your property taxes, highest to lowest.

They’re off of Barker Cypress and Gummert. The outage map doesn’t work for crap.

Centerpoint and public officials were quick to throw out that 4,000 number.

However, they didn’t always clarify that most of those were coming from outside the Houston metro area, and were still mobilizing .

Even if they all are in town today, the process of accessing the damage is still ongoing. Then the logistics of utilizing all 4,000 effectively is another hurdle.

Hopefully they start making significant progress the rest of the weekend.

Just passed by Sinclair, ouch… lots of damage. The portable buildings are destroyed.

Tons of crews back there though, looked like one of the main transmission lines was the focus. Hopefully that opens up to other areas.

Same. I was just walking around back through there and it's an insane amount of damage and every house has piles of limbs in front of them.

Crazy stuff and I am less than a mile up the street with ZERO damage. I am so frickin lucky that it makes me feel bad.
